My sculptures are mainly made with craft crank ceramic clay, of life models in studio. It is then hollowed to leave an inch of clay around the sculpture. This is then left to dry completely to be fired in the kiln. Some of my sculptures have a mould built for them so they can be reproduced in bronze.
The small sized figures are made with Wax (Lost Wax Method). The wax sculpture is made, it is then covered with fine china clay which is then fired. The wax is then melted and the model refilled with molten bronze. This is then cooled and the china broken to reveal the bronze sculpture. This bronze is then polished and worked on to produce the final sculpture.
